About Our Principal

Meet Tom Ciolek, your principal at Kearney Middle School!

Principal Ciolek is from Ithaca, New York, where he got his bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College in Sports Management. He also holds several master’s degrees in fields such as Teaching, Administrative Leadership, and Policy Studies. 

Ciolek has been working at Kearney Middle School for 14 years now! He supported students as a classroom teacher, athletic coach, and assistant principal, until becoming the school’s current principal. 

“The role of a principal is extremely rewarding,” he says. “As a principal, I feel like I am able to create a positive environment for our entire school community. I believe that the decisions I make as the leader of our school support the development and success of our staff and students which has a lasting impact on their lives.”

Ciolek and his staff are excited to welcome all the students back into the classroom. When not working hard to run the school successfully, you can find him playing soccer, skiing, traveling, and spending time in the grand outdoors of Colorado.
