Meet your Counselors

Allisha Damman

My name is Allisha Damman and I am one of the counselors at Kearney Middle School! I have been
working at Kearney since the beginning of 2016, and I have loved being a part of the Kearney family and
getting to know all of our amazing students and families!

I have been working as a school counselor since 2015. I attended graduate school at Indiana State
University, Indiana, where I received my Masters of Education in K-12 School Counseling. I have the best
job in the world. I get to work with the best students and families. I am originally from Beaverton,
Oregon (outside of Portland), but I moved to Colorado in 2016 with my partner. In my free time, I love
running/hiking, playing in the snow and camping with my babies (aka dogs), Luna and Sol.


My name is Adriana Ogaz and I am one of the School Counselors here at Kearney Middle School! 2022-23 is my first year as a school counselor with Adams 14. Before becoming a school counselor I taught at the elementary level and I truly enjoy working with all students from different backgrounds and walks of life. I have taught students in 3rd and 1st grade, as well as Kindergarten students in a bilingual setting. I completed my School Counseling Internship in a K-8th school setting and completely fell in love with the Middle Schoolers and their many different personalities.


I received a Masters in Professional School Counseling for grades K-12th from the University of Denver. Mental health is my passion and I fully believe in empowering students, families and community members to find their voice and true potential. I am originally from Parral Chihuahua, Mexico also known as, “The Capital of the World” but Colorado has been my home since the year 2000. In my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors with my partner Matt and our two cats Pepe and Nova.

Portia Harris

My name is Portia Harris, and I am the School Psychologist at Kearney Middle School! I started at
Kearney as a School Psychologist Intern in 2019, and was fortunate to continue working with my
students at Kearney after I officially became a School Psychologist. I have loved working with the Mental
Health Team and Special Education Team to provide the best individualized support we can for our

I am originally from the self-proclaimed Avocado Capital of the World small town of Fallbrook,
California. I moved to Colorado in 2010 to attend Adams State University, and moved to Denver after to
pursue my Educational Specialist degree in Child, Family, and School Psychology from the University of
Denver. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies and TV, hiking, and spending time with my 2 dogs and
3 cats!
