Curriculum for Student Success

The Kearney Middle School staff is committed to a rigorous curriculum based on common core standards. We believe that all students deserve to be ready for high school, and our goal is to help students move toward readiness for college by the time they leave middle school.

Rigorous Academic Core Classes

  • Careful consideration of each student’s needs and class schedule

Enrichment Opportunities

  • 1-to-1 Technology School – every student receives their own Chromebook for use at school

  • Daily Electives on each student’s schedule include: Band, Strings, P.E., Visual Art, Spanish,  Leadership through AVID, and many others clubs that fit school based needs

  • Prep League Athletics: Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Softball,  Wrestling, Track  and Tackle Football

  • Tutoring options based on skills in Literacy and Math
